Mustache Nail Art Designs You Must Try This Movember

Have you ever heard of Movember? For Movember (a portmanteau from moustache and November), men all over the world grow mustaches in order to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer. The goal of Movember is to “change the face of men’s health.”

We think that this is an awesome idea, but since growing a mustache of our own is it really possible, we did the next best thing: we found a pretty good idea to get involved and help raise awareness – nail art. In the spirit of charity the least we can do is to paint a moustache on our nails.

There are many ways to get moustaches in various shapes and sizes on your nails. Our preference is to paint them on with acrylic paint using either a dotting tool, or a nail art brush. The moustache nail tutorial below is a great way to learn how to make a classic moustache look even more chic on you than your man.

DIY: MOVEMBER MUSTACHE NAILS TUTORIAL

You can start making the moustache design by creating two large dots at the center of your nail using the large end of a dotter tool. Then take the smaller tip on the other end of the dotter tool — you can also use a toothpick’s end — and create two super-small dots equidistant from the two larger dots in the center of your nail. With a striper brush, draw two arched lines from the larger dot to the smaller one to create the mustache’s handles, and to give it that old time barber-shop feel. Then fill in the two lines and you’re done!
