A Day in the Sun – BHLDN’s Spring II 2015 Bridal Collection

Hey my beautiful ladies and future brides! Do you remember the gorgeous garden-inspired collection for Spring 2015 by BHDLN? Well, for all of you who liked this collection, the Philly-based brand released another stunning Spring collection of wedding gowns entitled ‘A Day in the Sun’.

Old Hollywood glamour is the theme behind the collection, which features eight new bridal styles (plus a handful of reception dresses) accented with extra fine lace, ornate beading, embroidery and beautiful back details. The collection also include delicate wedding headpieces, glistening bridal jewelry, and breathtaking cover ups that are perfect for taking any gown from day to night.

BHLDN took full advantage of the famous California sunshine as they shot A Day in the Sun, their Spring II collection at the beautiful Villa Sophia in Los Angeles. Built in the 1920’s, the Villa Sophia was once home to legendary film director James Whale, mastermind behind cult-films such as Frankenstein and Remember Last Night?. With its lush gardens, poolside greenery, and sweeping views of the Los Angeles skyline, the setting echoed the collection’s Old Hollywood feel. It provides the perfect backdrop for model Alejandra Alonso to play, lounge and pose in our stunning new gowns and wedding accessories with a handsome man by her side. Shot by photographer Signe Vilstrup, Alejandra was the ideal model for this as she perfectly captures the essence of grace, sophistication, confidence and femininity possessed by the screen sirens of the 1950’s and 60’s. From the beautiful Marilyn Monroe to Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren, the elegance of such icons radiates from her bright smile and overall effortless beauty.
