Hey my beautiful ladies! Today’s treat comes in the form of Basil Soda’s Ready-To-Wear Spring-Summer 2016 Collection.

As you may already know, Basil Soda is a esteemed Lebanese fashion designer who started his career with Elie Saab – the fruits of which could be seen in his collections today. In the year 2000, he has established his fashion house and quickly gained international recognition. The red carpet has created a great outlet to showcase Basil Soda’s work to a greater audience. International celebrities like Katy Perry, Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Jiang Yiyan, Morena Baccarrin, Guiliana Rancic, all adorned in Basil Soda creations. Today, his creations can be found in many cities all over the world, such as Toronto, New York, Washington, Vienna, Cannes, Moscow, Dubai, Beirut, all the way to Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

For the Spring-Summer 2016 season the Basil Soda’s woman decided to take a quick trip in a tropical land where she brought along with her elements that she can use in her everyday urban environment.

The team of Basil Soda stuck to their founder’s roots with sharp lines in cuts and silhouettes. The use of stripes was new for the brand and gives a sense of the urban along with the Bird of Paradise as a representation of the tropics. This specific flower was chosen because it suggests precision and joy. Its geometric lines and exuberant colors create a vigorous structure with a soft edge. The colors were chosen based on these sources; from classic black and whites to shocking fuchsia and aqua green, with an addition of lavender and blush for a well balanced palette.

In this Ready-To-Wear collection you can see strapless dresses, v-neck plated dress, tulle floor length dress, mermaid gown, half sleeve with center cut outfit, , crop top with pants, waist belt split slit dress, sleeveless knee length outfit, one shoulder dress… The designer’s team has used high quality fabrics, like lace, tulle, chiffon and silk and paid attention to each design to be unique and stunning.
