In the spring of 2013, Emily started out blogging about her wedding planning mainly for her Mom & Dad to read and see what she and her husband John were up to. But after receiving so many questions about hair, makeup, clothing etc., The Sweetest Thing evolved into more of a beauty/style blog as she answered questions & filmed tutorials. If you are wondering where does she get her blog name from let me tell you that The Sweetest Thing is a U2 song that has the line “a blue eyed boy met a brown eyed girl, Oh! Oh! The Sweetest Thing.” (Emily’s husband has blue eyes, and as you can see on the pictures below she is a brown eyed girl.)

Emily has a knack for style that jumps out in her photographs. (John takes her photos!) Whether she is dressing up or down, you can always find fashion inspiration from Emily’s blog. Her style can be described as feminine, classic with a modern flare…a combination that has led to some gorgeous outfits!
