Fall Staple: Off-The-Shoulder Sweater

One of the Spring/Summer biggest fashion trends was the off-the-shoulder style. From tops to dresses to jumpsuits, you had the opportunity to see a ton of shoulder-baring options out there. How the question is: can you wear this trend in Fall? And the answer is: yes. To feel comfy and cozy, and sexy in the same time, you can wear an off-the-shoulder sweater.

At first, I thought that off-the-shoulder sweaters are the kind of garment that doesn’t make sense. On the one hand, they’re ostensibly supposed to keep you warm, and on the other, you’re baring a good portion of your upper body to the elements. But fashion doesn’t always follow logic, and as it turns out, the style is way more practical than you might expect.

How to Rock the Off-The-Shoulder Sweater

Choose a goof bra: It’s crucial to invest in a really good and supportive strapless bra. Or if you’re a sartorial risk-taker, pick a bra with pretty, embellished straps in a color that contrasts or complements your top, and let them act as an accessory to your ensemble.

Choose a boat neckline: All off-the shoulder sweaters give a fabulous look when they have a boat neckline. This is due to the fact that the boat neck line in a sweater is not too big to fall and it will give a graceful look.

Choose your bottom wear carefully: Most of the time off-the-shoulder sweaters are loose and not in a form-fitting, so try to pair them with a skinny jeans, leggings or with a pencil, a leather A-line or a trendy denim button down skirt for a chic and edgy girlish look. The color combination also should be chosen carefully. A combination of dark colored jeans goes well with a light shade sweater and vice-versa.

Add accessories: Adding accessories like necklace and earrings will complete your look. Go and buy simple jewelry like a long necklace with a pendant or a pair of big earrings. Oh, and chokers and bandanas are cool!
