Feather Eyebrows – The Craziest Eyebrow Trend on Instagram

The days of plucking your eyebrows into extinction are gone – big eyebrows aren’t going anywhere. In fact, the bigger, the better. And the newest beauty trend on Instagram is turning them into even more of a prominent feature.

Cue feather eyebrows – possibly one of the most bizarre and outrageous eyebrow trend to date.

The 19-year-old makeup artist from Helsinki, Finland, Stella Sironen, and her best friend, Leevi Ikäheimo, came up with this interesting trend by accident one lazy Sunday while Leevi was brushing out Stella’s eyebrows. Then, she posted a photo of her colorful, holographic eye makeup and blue mascara beneath a new style of eyebrow and from there, #featherbrows was officially born.

Stella might have meant it as a joke but the Instagram community immediately fell in love and more and more people are jumping on this trend train and sharing the results.

So how you can achieve this look?
Simply, use a brow gel, glue stick or Vaseline to split the brow in two so that you have a parting running through the middle of the brow and then brush out the eyebrow hairs to give them that ‘just fell off a bird look’.

It would be fair to say that feather eyebrows aren’t something you’d wear every day (or even at all), so I kind of understand the divided reactions. But still, if you don’t like it, no one’s forcing you to wear it. And if you do? Go for it.
