Hey my beautiful ladies and future brides! Here we are again with another amazing collection of wedding dresses. In this post I want to show you the new Bridal Collection for Fall-Winter 2015 by Monique Lhuillier which was presented at Bridal Fashion Week in New York.
Monique Lhuillier and her husband, Tom Bugbee, founded her eponymous company in 1996 by launching their first bridal collection. Since then Monique Lhuillier never fails to impress us with her ultra romantic and sophisticated wedding gowns.
For her Fall-Winter 2015 Bridal Collection, Monique Lhuillier was inspired by the decorations on a jewelry boxes and the little ballerina inside them. The collection is comprised of gowns that are effortless yet wistful, ultra feminine yet subtly glamorous and included Monique’s signature use of tulle in trumpet gowns and intricate design details. There were exaggerated trains, Chantilly lace, re-embroidery, illusion necklines and grand ball gowns with layers upon layers of the sheerest tulle. Ethereal silhouettes were embellished with delicate tonal beading and antique golds. The colour palette of the collection was influenced by the hues from the jewellery boxes and included beautiful, soft hues of pistachio, mint, lavender, peach, blush pink and antique gold, while there were only five looks in white and ivory. To complement the whole look the hair had to be very sophisticated so the models were accessorised with gorgeous sparkly headpieces with metallic floral motifs that perfectly complemented the seriousness of the ballerina style.
