Tony Ward, son of the acclaimed Beirut-based couturier, Elie Ward, grew up surrounded by the most beautiful silks and the perfectly cut suits which made his father famous among high society women. At the age of 18, Ward left home to study in the most prestigious Fashion Design school in Paris, “L’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne”. After graduation, he worked with some of the icons of fashion: Claude Montana at Lanvin, with Gianfranco Ferré at Christian Dior couture then with Karl Lagerfeld at Chloé, learning the secrets of Haute Couture techniques up to the highest standards. After seven years, Ward returned to Beirut to launch Tony Ward Couture in 1997. Today, Tony Ward is is known for his exquisite embroidery, fine fabrics, and use of sheer illusion, creating gowns that are both sophisticated and sensual.

For his 2016 Spring/Summer Ready-to-Wear Collection Tony Ward was inspired by the glamorous life of sultry American actress Ava Gardner, who is best known for her femme fatale roles and tumultuous marriage with Frank Sinatra.

Exquisite femininity and sophistication are the main features of this collection. I’m in love with every dress from the collection due to the use of delicate fabrics such as silk crepe, organza, lace, embroidered tulle and hand painted crinoline and of course due to handcraft details that are done impeccably. In this collection you can find from long gowns to knee length dresses, from ball gown to tube dresses as well as from jumpsuits to ballerina dresses. When it comes to colors, in this stunning collection you can find pastel tones as well as darker tones.
