First of all, you will need a glass full of filtered water at room temperature, toothpick, two or three different color nail polish, nail polish remover and scotch tape. Now you need to sip the nail polishes into water (repeat until you can see the different colors of layers) and with a toothpick create patterns as you desire. The trick is barely touching the polishes and slightly dragging it. In order not to have a lot to clean up after you are done tape your fingers with scotch tape.

Now, put your figure in the water. Remember to keep your nail horizontal. Otherwise, results will not be so good and your nail will not cover maximum design. Keep your figure in water for few second and remove the extra nail polish with toothpick. Now, take your figure out of water and see professional looking nails art. Take off the tape and clean up your nails. Use acetone in a contact case and a lip liner brush to clean up your messy nails. Seal with a top coat and your done!
