Christian Siriano first stole our hearts on season four of Project Runway, and since then, he’s become renowned for his show-stopping red-carpet looks. (His celebrity fanbase includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, and Victoria Beckham, just to name a few).

Christian’s bridal collection is inspired by the romanticism of impressionist paintings of Monet and Dega as well as vintage French art nouveau tapestries and interiors in the south of France. But despite the old-world influence on the collection, a modern take was clear in many of the looks. One design features a crop top with an intricately beaded illusion neckline that is paired with a pencil skirt with a chapel train. There are two pant-based ensembles as well; a tailored suit with feminine cascading ruffles, and a sequin jumpsuit with a train and choker neckpiece. One particular stand-out from his first bridal collection is the final look: a voluminous, airy ball gown with a poufy, ombré skirt that hits the floor in a rich scarlet hue and moves upwards in fuchsia, magenta, and the palest of blush until it becomes ivory as it reaches the bodice.

Siriano wanted to create a collection that would appeal to many different types of brides and work for any style of wedding, from a traditional church wedding, to a bohemian outdoor event, to a glamourous destination wedding. The pieces were created to be sexy and comfortable, so that women will feel amazingly confident on their big day.
