Did happened to you to see your old pictures on which you think that you look better and thinner? One reason that make you look like that perhaps is your hairstyle. Although probably unconsciously, then perhaps you had the hairstyle that completely corresponds to your face.

Just as makeup can hide certain imperfections, so can hairstyles. No doubt about it, some hairstyles will make you look thinner, and some hairstyles will make your face look rounder.

If you have a pounds more, or round face, here are some suggestions on how your hair will help you to visually elongate your face. Choose what you like and what is the most practical for your quality and length of hair.

Long wavy hair

When deciding between long and short,  go long because it elongates the face.

 

Asymmetrical bob

If the bob is cut short in the back and long in the front, it will make your face look thinner.

Wispy bangs

Heavy or blunt bangs can make the face look rounder. And if you want to have bangs, let them be long, thin and intentionally “chopped” at the ends slightly longer. You can split them a little in the middle, it will create an impression of elongated face.

 

Layers

Adding layers near the line of the cheekbone will highlight your bone structure. If you have thin or flat hair, layers also add a nice boost of volume and movement.

High ponytail  or bun, without loose strands, will give the impression of extension of the face, especially the forehead.
