It is time to say goodbye to summer. No more flouncy, maxi dresses to wear every day. But ladies, there is no need to mourn dresses when it is colder. Sweater dresses prove to be the best choice to be feminine during the colder months of the year. Although it is true you can’t wear the linen and light materials that you wore during the summer (well, who would actually want that?), but, chunky knits can do great sweater dresses for you. Luckily, most of them are suitable for every body type out there, so have a hint from a few examples. (click here)
– Everyday look – A common misconception is that a sweater dress in 2016 has to be plain and too chunky. This example breaks the myth. It is based on beautiful polka dots on a crimson red background. A dress like that can easily be paired either with a leather biker jacket, or a trench coat. And don’t forget the tights!
– Weekend look – This dress gets the epitome of autumn colors done in playful stripes. It is very cozy and appropriate for the weekend. Throw on a statement necklace to achieve a playful look, because fall isn’t all about being dull!
– Business look – A black sweater dress is very office appropriate. It could even be matched with skin tight pants for a modern look. If it gets too cold, bring on your favorite blazer over it.
– Dinner look – Although sweater dresses for Black Friday and Cyber Monday can be a little too steamy (literally) for a night club, they make great romantic choices for a dinner at the restaurant. Accentuate your hips with a wide belt, but make sure you wear heeled boots, as you don’t want to make the legs appear too short.
– Formal look – This look is great for the mature lady out there that wants to be cozy, stylish and comfortable at the same time. Turtlenecks prove to be great for many ladies, but it is wise to make a hair updo, as we don’t want to lose focus of the beautiful face you have.
