People love to talk about Oscar dresses, but the hair and makeup are actually just as important. As usual, the Oscars red carpet was filled with gorgeous hairstyles featuring just about every length, color, and trend out there. When it comes to makeup at the Oscars 2015 red carpet we saw two trends – soft and natural and natural with a bold lip! Here are some of my favorite Beauty looks from the Oscars 2015… Check out our picks below, and tell us which is your favorite.
Lupita Nyong’o
Lupita kept her hair simple with a short curly ‘fro and amped her makeup up with bold brows, metallic eyeshadow and raisin-colored lipstick.
Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon’s hair was styled in mermaid waves, whilst her make-up look comprised flushed cheeks, groomed brows, glossy lips and eyes defined with brown shadow and mascara.
Emma Stone
With her hair swept to one side in elegant, set curls, Emma Stone chose a coral lipstick to offset her lime-hued gown, and subtle metallic shadow on the eyes.
Margot Robbie
I really like how Margot Robbie styled her blonde lob super straight with a deep side parting and kept her makeup simple with matte foundation and matt red lipstick.
Dakota Johnson
She wore her hair in a pretty ponytail with a messy fringe, while her make-up centred around bold lipstick and pale metallic eyeshadow.
Jennifer Lopez
The star’s long layers were pulled into a sleek ponytail that sat just above the nape of her neck, giving off an elegant, undone vibe. Her clashing pink makeup — a peachy-pink shadow and a pale, blue-based pink lip — was also gorgeous.
Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett showed off a rocker-chick hairstyle with shaved sides, offset by pink lipstick and bronzed skin.
Chrissy Teigen
The brunette supermodel wowed in a light blue, embellished Zuhair Murad gown, retro-inspired waves, bronzed skin and dark burgundy lips.
Rita Ora
Rita’s pretty look was done by celeb makeup artist Kathy Jeung. She matched her makeup to her gown via a midnight navy cat eye. She finished off her head turning look with long lush lashes, contouring, bronzer, soft pink blush and a satin texture nude lip.
Jamie Chung
Jamie kept her look soft and neutral, letting her sparkling sequined gown be the central point.
Jenna Dewan Tatum
Anna Kendrick
this is one of my favorite makeup looks I’ve ever seen on her. The blush of her cheeks and lips are the perfect match with her gown, and the slightly smokey eyes are a dream.
Keira Knightley
Keira Knightley was positively glowing with natural makeup and a romantic hairstyle. A jewelled headband in her hair added a special touch.
Lady Gaga
for the 2015 Oscars red carpet Lady Gaga sported smooth skin and her iconic thick black eye liner that accentuated her eye shape perfectly. We are also loving her glittery eye makeup and fierce red lip, which pulls her whole look together.
Felicity Jones
Felicity rocked a dark, dramatic eye that we absolutely love. Her hair was in an elegant updo that was off-set by her somewhat choppy bangs.
