The Lebanese fashion designer, Zuhair Murad, known for his elaborate, embroidered gowns and intricate beadwork will once again leave you speechless. He brought glam drama to Paris Fashion Week with his spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection. The collection was shown at the Eighth Arrondissement in a mirrored showroom to put every angle of the looks on display.
Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection had two key influences: The 1950s — in particular, silhouette of the era’s new look and the 1960s — specifically the geometric patterns championed by Paco Rabanne in the decade.
In this collection you can find flared skirts, refined basques and bustiers, strictly chic pencil dresses and cigarette pants, the flirtatious architecture of corsets, pinched waists, willowy figures, dramatic décolletages, red-carpet sheaths and sheer glamour shapeliness.
The collection is a festival of grace, deployed in blacks, whites, and crisp pastel shades of Parma violet, blue, pink, and poudre.
Embroidery was key, and you can see hand-stitched sequinned and molten metal embroidery, sensual ardour and mirror effects carried along on a rushing tide of mikado, jacquard, lace, chiffon, muslin, mesh….
If you ever have opportunity to slip into one of these jewel and mirror embellished gowns and separates be sure that every eye will be on you, guaranteed.
